A Special Tribute from Sandy Williamson '70

“This is a picture of Jack Turner and Duncan Hubley together at the Old Guard lunch before the 2019 GA-PC game. As a third generation alum, I was thinking back on my whole GA experience, of course impacted most by my grandfather Robert M. Williamson '18 and my dad Robert M. Williamson, Jr. '44. Longtime family-friend Headmaster Dr. Samuel Osbourne, and Donald Miller were both instrumental in my going to GA in the first place. Attending the McLean Hall groundbreaking and cornerstone-laying ceremony with my parents and grandparents laid the foundation. I started 4th grade the first year in Fort Washington, when campus consisted of only one building. I had many standout teachers along the list of my teachers could be complete without mentioning my dear mother, longtime GA 3rd-grade teacher. Without her efforts, I would never have been able to attend GA!”
