DREAMHOUSE BUILDERS
As the great Picasso once said, “everything you can imagine is real” and The Handwork Studio is here to prove it! In this program, campers imagine and design the house of their dreams. How about slides instead of stairs? How about a full blown rainbow interior? Sure, why not! In this model making program, anything is possible. The week starts as campers flex their pencils and imagination muscles to draw out blueprints. Campers will design interiors, understand how to work in-scale, and learn three-dimensional building techniques. Then they’ll use a model making kit to bring their dream house to life. Next thing you know, they will want to build a shrink ray so they can go live in the house of their dreams! (Don’t worry, we don’t teach kids how to build one of those, yet…)

Campers will visualize platforms, otherworldly obstacles, and thrilling landscapes for our valiant Nintendo heroes using 3D construction techniques and circuitry concepts. Beyond just imagining layouts, they'll dive deep into the essence of gameplay, ensuring their Kingdom captures the fun, challenge, and charm of the iconic franchise. MARVEL MANIA
Let your superpowers take flight in this dynamic program, with an exciting mission: If you could design a new Marvel superhero, an epic hideout, or a new evil villain, what would it be?
Campers flex their creative powers and develop their own superhero characters to add to the Marvel Universe by developing their superhero backstory, powers, weaknesses, and the moral dilemmas they face.
But we are not done yet; the Marvel Universe is not complete without campers building their own area of the Marvel Universe. Using 3D cardboard construction techniques to build superhero hideouts, cityscapes, and backdrops where superheroes prevail over the evil villains, or do they? That's up to you!
Join us in the Marvel Mania program, where every child gets to add their own unique chapter to the legendary Marvel saga!

Imagine crafting a mechanical arm that mirrors human gestures or building a wearable exoskeleton! Well, imagine no more! Participants will undertake projects that blend anatomy with electronics, resulting in interactive cyborg components, such as constructing robotic appendages and augmentations.
Each of these personalized projects serves as a testament to the camp's adherence to the Next Generation Science Standards principles and our commitment to fostering inventive, boundary-pushing thought. Every camper will create tangible, responsive augmentations they can proudly take home.

Published Authors
Does your camper have what it takes to become the next Harper Lee? Do they have a knack for spinning fantastical tales that are just waiting to be captured? Then they’ll love filling in the blank pages of their soon-to-be-published book with stories developed from their imagination. But we’re also keeping a mega secret! This highly engaging camp incorporates a research based curriculum that is standards-aligned. Our project-based format promotes literacy skills, where campers will gain increased reading and comprehension, and build their vocabulary, presentation, and critical thinking skills. Still, we know the big win for our budding authors will be seeing all their hard work turned into a “published” glossy hardcover book of their story to display proudly on the bookshelf with other legends of the pen.

Comic Creators
Welcome to the creative side of storytelling and writing! In our Art & Lit Studio, campers learn the elements that make their favorite stories so compelling. They explore character development, plot progression, and different ways stories can be presented and illustrated. By the end of each week, budding curiosity has been overtaken by enthusiasm, confidence, and a love of putting pen to paper! Campers return home with story-enhancing props and anticipation, and in some programs even receive a professionally published book or comic to arrive in the mail! While we love good spelling and writing proficiency, we use this time with campers to celebrate and hone the art of creative writing and illustration, which can complement their academic endeavors for years to come!
