ENROLLMENT PRIORITY GROUPS 

When determining enrollment for our new GA Sapling Center for Early Learning, we will follow a structured priority system. Priority is first given to children of GA employees and currently enrolled families. We will then consider applicants from our wider school community - siblings of GA students and GA alumni - before opening remaining spaces to the public.

GA Employees – Children of employees of Germantown Academy
Current GA Childcare Families – Current Childcare children
Current GA Families – Siblings of children currently attending Germantown Academy 
GA Alumni – Children of Germantown Academy alumni  
Community Applicants – Families with no affiliation to Germantown Academy 

• Wait Pool Structure: The Sapling Center maintains a wait pool for interested families for whom we do not have available space. When a space becomes available, we will use our priority group system to offer enrollment for the next available space. 

TUITION

The Germantown Academy Sapling Center for Early Learning is a full-day program that runs from September through June. Tuition is set annually and reflects the operational costs of maintaining a high-quality early childhood program that includes staffing, curriculum resources, classroom materials, facility maintenance, and more. Tuition is paid on an annual basis with monthly payment plans available. Additional fees, such as for extended day hours, will apply and be communicated during the enrollment process. The Sapling Center uses Brightwheel childcare software for enrollment, tuition payments, and communications with families. 

BRANCHING OUT AFTER SAPLING

The curriculum at the Germantown Academy Sapling Center for Early Learning is designed to prepare young children for a PreK learning environment. This may include entry into an independent school, public school, or another local early childhood center. Our Sapling Center team will support families as they make the best next step for their child.​

​Some families may wish to continue their child’s educational experience at Germantown Academy and apply to Prekindergarten in the Lower School. Families who are interested in learning more about the admission process at Germantown Academy will have opportunities in early fall before their child would enter PreK to learn more from the Germantown Academy Admission Office. ​

Admission to PreK at Germantown Academy is contingent upon a variety of readiness factors assessed through the GA admission process. Enrollment in the Sapling Center does not guarantee admission to Germantown Academy.
