GA had 10 students participate in the PMEA District 11 Orchestra Festival concert at Perkiomen Valley Middle School on Friday, Jan. 27. This is the most students GA has ever had in District Orchestra. The students rehearsed Wednesday evening through Friday afternoon, and gave an impressive performance of a challenging program under guest conductor Dr. Timothy Schwartz. After re-auditions, two of the students – Dominic Perazza '25 and Jessica Wang '25 – qualified for the PMEA Region 6 Orchestra Festival, the next step in the PMEA festival system. Congratulations to you all! The students who participated are (from L to R): Jianna Kim '25, flute, Chloe Zhou '26, viola, Rebecca Rong '26, violin, Jordan Boymel '23, oboe, Jessica Wang '25, cello, Sarah Beth Sandifer '23, bass, Dominic Perazza '25, percussion, Matthew Schaffer '25, French horn, Ansh Kakadia '24, percussion, and Umang Mittal '25, French horn. Congrats, Patriots!
