Middle School math teacher Anthony Commale's sixth grade students recently traveled into the world of virtual reality during to complete a times table activity.
"They loved it!" said Mr. Commale. "My sixth grade pre-algebra students practiced their times tables and mental math skills using a virtual reality application. I learned about this technology at the ADVIS TECHCamp and Unconference held at GA. My class used the VR Times Tables app in which the students are presented with mathematical equations such as 9 x ? = 108. They then search a virtual world filled with different numbers to find the correct answer. The game has multiple levels and increases in difficulty."
Another great example of student engagement here at GA!
