The annual Preserve Day 5K/10K Run and Fun Walk was a great success! More than 175 runners and walkers registered for the event and skies were beautiful for a run through GA’s cross country course and walk on the track at Carey Stadium. Proceeds from the event go to Germantown Academy through the Parents’ Committee and Coaches vs Cancer in memory of Jim Fenerty, beloved teacher, basketball coach, and athletic director.
“We had a wonderful response from our community on many levels,” said co-chairs Erin Paone P’27 ’29 ’31 and Brian Moorhouse P’26 ’31 ’34. “More than 100 people ran the trail, the weather was wonderful for all of the participants and we had a great turnout for our fun walk. A special thanks goes to Tricia Goodman P’32 ’34 and ReMix Fitness for getting our participants stretched out and ready to go before the races and walk. A fun time was had by all and we can’t wait to do it again next year!”
