Germantown Academy is proud to announce that eight members of the Class of 2022 have been named Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. The eight GA National Merit Commended Students are Atharv Awasthi '22, Alex Badami '22, Jeff Cheng '22 (missing from photo), Perry Fraser '22, Riya Palkar '22, Alaina Steck '22, Casey Traina '22, and Jason Wang '22.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2022 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2022 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
