Elma Coonrad Trupin was a 5th Grade teacher at Germantown Academy many years ago. Upon her retirement, she left a legacy that continues to inspire and remind us that supporting and respecting one another are two of the most important skills we can have at school.

Rich Schellhas 1760, Sue Szczepkowski, and the 4th and 5th Grade Math Olympiad Award Winners 2025

The Math Olympiad is one of the most influential and fun-filled math competition programs in the United States and throughout the world, with more than 120,000 students from every state and 39 additional countries participating each year. The objective is to teach multiple strategies for out-of-the-box problem solving, develop mathematical flexibility in solving those problems, and foster mathematical creativity and ingenuity.

We congratulate these award recipients and all members of the GA Classes of 2032 and 2033 on a fantastic 2024-25 school year!
