Lower School Remembers September 11

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of September 11, Sue Szczepkowski, Head of Lower School, shared a short video with students in kindergarten through 5th grade earlier this week.

"In the video, I shared a bit of history about the tragic events of 9/11 and then a story called Branches of Hope: The 9/11 Survivor Tree," said Szczepkowski. "It is a story of how a tree found amidst the rubble of the twin towers remained alive and was brought back to health, and ultimately returned to the tree’s original home by the twin reflecting pools."

PreK and Kindergarten classes were invited to join Szczepkowski to plant small flags in our flower planters to commemorate this day in our history.
