Jet Dickerson '26 was recently awarded two very prestigious scholarships for his Athletic, Academic and Leadership efforts in high school: A $5,000.00 scholarship from the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Mid-Atlantic Scholarship committee, awarded at their banquet held at the West Conshohocken Marriott in May, and a $10,000 scholarship awarded by the National AAU.

Dickerson was one of five male athletes to earn the prestigious national scholarship award from among hundreds of applications from talented and hardworking amateur athletes across the country. The National AAU awards scholarships to five male and five female athletes each year; the winners of this year’s scholarships are truly the complete athlete, excelling not only on the field, but also as students in the classroom and as model citizens in their community. 

Dickerson, a Hillsdale College Track & Field commit, has been competing at AAU Track & Field events since 2015 and has earned multiple national accomplishments, including gold medals in the long jump and 60-meter hurdles at AAU Indoor National Championships. Since being eight years old, Jet has consistently qualified for the AAU Junior Olympic Games, where he earned a bronze medal in the triple jump and achieved multiple top 10 national finishes in both the javelin and long jump. These experiences with the AAU have helped teach Dickerson dedication, versatility, and commitment to excellence both on and off the track.
