On Saturday, April 29, Matt Rominger, who is GA's Assistant Director of Admission – Lower School, organized a Germantown Academy team of volunteers to help with the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association’s 47th annual creek clean-up. During the day, GA volunteers removed refuse from the banks of the creek and the creek itself, which runs through the heart of GA's campus and is one of the many outdoor resources faculty and students of all three divisions often use during science, art, physical education, digital media, and English classes. Participants included Mr. Rominger, Middle School Performing Arts Department Head Chris Horner, Lower School Assistant Teacher Matt Mazurek, Sam Horner '17, Michael von Z. '22, and Henry M. '22.
