Head of School Rich Schellhas 1760 Celebrates Partnership School's Graduation in Beijing

恭喜! Gōngxǐ! (Congratulations!) to our partner school, Capital Normal University High School (CNUHS) in Beijing, on celebrating its 12th graduating class since partnering with GA! Head of School Rich Schellhas 1760 and Director of the Curriculum Partnership Program Jennifer Bamigboye traveled to CNUHS to be there for this special occasion.

Highlights of this year’s trip included attending Children’s Day performances, seeing an inspiring museum of Chinese photographer Luo Hong’s work, and visiting two new schools in the CNUHS system that have an array of facilities, including an indoor jungle gym. In working with CNUHS over the past decade, GA has shared several of its traditions, such as the House System, the Flag Raising ceremony, and House Olympics.

The Curriculum Partnership Program prepares select Chinese students for admission to Bachelor’s degree programs in English-speaking countries around the world. Bamigboye and Christina Baumann, Assistant Director of the Curriculum Partnership Program, travel to China several times each year to advise students and parents on all aspects of the college search and application process. To note, international students are in a separate college applicant pool from domestic students.

Best of luck to CNUHS graduates as they begin their college experience!
