GA Science Researchers Stand Out at Montco Science Competition

On Thursday, March 9, 14 Upper School science research students competed at the Montgomery County Science Research Competition, directed by Upper School Science Teacher Philip Rittenhouse 1760, at Ursinus College. Of those 14 students, 11 students earned first, second, or third place awards, qualifying for the Delaware Valley Science Fair, which is being held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center from April 3-5.

In addition to these category awards, four GA students received special awards sponsored by science and engineering companies and professional organizations. Students earned over $100 in cash and prizes. Moreover, the GA Upper School students did so well that they earned GA the 2nd Place Division A Award (secon most total points for 12th grade projects) and 2nd Place Division C Award (second most total points for 10th grade projects).

"Please congratulate all of these students, as they worked hard to design their projects, collect data, prepare a PowerPoint presentation, collect additional data, and prepare a poster board presentation," said Director of Science Research Sarah Kesten. "Congrats, everyone!"
