The Class of 2026 Science Fair, an annual event for the 8th Grade, was held on May 25 in the Field House. There were 115 science fair projects, the most of any previous years. Middle School Science Department Chair Cory Eklund had this to say:
"Our students did a great job of researching topics in the fall, coming up with methods during the winter months, then collecting data and drawing conclusions in the spring. The projects were diverse, and the students were able to show their creativity and ingenuity. As a science department, we love seeing the students grow throughout their time in Middle School learning about variables and the scientific method. Having them work all year and taking a project from concept all the way to presenting to the public is a fabulous culminating project. Our projects were judged virtually by 91 judges and we are thankful for the members of the GA community that lent a hand. We were also able to bring back an in-person open house and recognition assembly, the first in three years. We are proud of all our student’s work and are happy to showcase it on the website."
More than 50 students were recognized with prizes for their hard work throughout the school year. CLICK HERE to view the presentations and awards. Congrats Class of 2026!
