Five GA VEX Robotics Teams Compete at State Competition

On March 4, the Germantown Academy VEX Robotics team, led Upper School science teachers Diane Goldstein 1760 and Michael Rheam, traveled to Norristown for the VRC Spin-Up High School East Pennsylvania State Championship. 27 students made up five teams that participated in four "All Day Saturday" Competitions throughout February prior to the meet. 

The competition was fierce, but GA managed to find success with two of their groups, Team 8637B and Team 8637A. 

Consisting of Char Baughman '25, Danika Staples '24, Melinda Shen '24, and Saloni Bhatia '24, Team 8637B earned a Create Award and qualified for the PA East Regional Meet. Meanwhile, Aayush Kevadia '23, Aarav Satashia '23, Alex Farina '23, Jordan Boymel '23, Luke Hu '25, and Sam Wang '23 -- Team 8637A -- earned high scores on the Skills contest and qualified for the PA East Regional Meet. They were ranked 16th out of 70 teams on March 4.
