The Lower School held its Final Assembly to honor the fourth and fifth grade's student achievements of the school year.
Student speakers included Alexandria S. ’31, Zev L. ’31, Lucy B. ’31, and Ronav N. ’31. Awards were given to the students who placed the highest in the annual Math Olympiad competition - Gregory J. '31 and Ryan S. '32.
Head of School Rich Schellhas 1760 presented the annual Kershaw Medals to two fourth grade students and two fifth grade students. The Kershaw Medal is named after former Head of School William "Pappy" Kershaw (1877-1915), one of the most important administrators in GA history. The award, for honor, scholarship, deportment and general character, was bestowed upon Noah B. '31, Louisa R. '31, Charlotte C. '32, and Asher N. '32.
Aubrey F. '31 and Liam B. '31 won the Elma Coonrad Trupin Award, which is presented to fifth grade students for exemplifying encouraging, and promoting good human relations.
A special thanks to the fourth and fifth grade choruses and the Lower School band and orchestra for giving us a morning of beautiful music. We look forward to seeing our Class of 2031 as a part of the Middle School next year!
