Twenty-eight members of Germantown Academy’s Class of 2026 were inducted into the school’s chapter of the Cum Laude Society during a special ceremony recognizing their outstanding academic achievement and character.

The Cum Laude Society honors graduating seniors who embody the organization’s mission of excellence, justice, and honor throughout their Upper School careers. Inductees are selected for their exceptional academic performance in the most rigorous courses, unwavering commitment to integrity and the GA Honor Code, and genuine passion for learning both inside and outside the classroom.

Head of School Rich Schellhas 1760, who also serves as President of GA’s Cum Laude Society chapter, joined Director of College Counseling Jodi Robinson, Dean of Faculty Becca Burnett, and Head of Upper School Dave Samson in welcoming the newest members. Upper School History Teacher and Head of Osbourn House Adam Wilsman delivered the keynote address.

Germantown Academy may induct up to 20 percent of each graduating class into the Cum Laude Society. Following junior year, 10 percent of the class is selected for induction, with an additional 10 percent admitted at the conclusion of senior year based on their academic performance and contributions during their final year at GA.
