Germantown Academy freshman Charlie Morris '25 of Scouts BSA Troop 177 received the honor of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in Scouts BSA, at a Court of Honor held at First Presbyterian Church of Springfield.
Morris joined Cubs Scouts when he was five years old and eventually joined Boy Scouts when he was 11. Morris said that he joined because he though that it would be a good opportunity for him to "learn some new things and have fun with some friends." Morris' project involved beautifying the area around the church which he attends.
"[I] was helping my church beautify the area by setting up bird boxes," Morris said. "I had the help of everyone in my troop, including some friends and family. It was a fun, and great experience, because it was fun, helpful, and productive."
Here at GA, Morris is active in the athletics, playing soccer and baseball as well as being a member of the varsity wrestling team.
