The Ambler Rotary Club has named Germantown Academy senior Priya Dudhat '19 its Student of the Month. Dudhat was honored in a special lunch at the William Penn Inn. This is what Upper School Director of Community Service Yvette Marquez-Pribitkin wrote about Dudhat:

I have known Priya Dudhat as a student for the past two years. In those years she has not only excelled as a person, but she has shown her ability to lift the performance of others with her helpful nature. She is quiet at first, but very sweet once she gets to talking, and I think kids really take to her approachable disposition. Her grit and hard work has paid off inside and outside of the classroom, and she has became a role model to her peers. She has grown into herself more and has become a leader especially within the Community Service Organization at Germantown Academy. Whenever we find ourselves needing a volunteer for Buddy Day, Food Drive, the Make-A-Wish Tournament, or any activity, Priya is the first person we ask. Not only is she unhesitant to say yes, but she always completes the task with grace. We are currently doing a candy cane drive for CSO, and she happily volunteered her artistic talents to design many of the beautiful slips and posters we will be using. All of her talents, however, come across subtly, for she never is one to boast about her skills or her accomplishments. It is this quality that I believe is most outstanding about this young lady. Moreover, Priya expertly balances her academic load with her interests out of the classroom, which include serving in the Honor Council, Model United Nations, serving as a student tutor for the writing, science and math centers, working as an editor for Academy Monthly (GA's literary magazine) and playing tennis. We are delighted that the Ambler Rotary Club is honoring such a bright, humble and compassionate in spirit young lady. Congratulations, dear Priya.
