Upper School Patriots Shine at PAISAA Cross Country Championships

PHILADELPHIA -- Germantown Academy put together a strong showing at the 2025 Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Belmont Plateau, with multiple student-athletes earning top finishes in their respective races.

In the Boys Junior Varsity 5k, Jack Dashine '27 ran 19:13.6 to finish seventh overall. Alex Foster '27 (19:55.3 - 26th), Xavier Tubio '27 (20:01.4 - 29th), Stavi Sterious '26 (20:49.7 - 52nd), and Oliver Pepper '26 (21:21.8 - 58th) rounded out the scoring five for GA. As a team, the Patriots finished fifth out of 10 teams.

Zoe Webster '29 (23:28.4) finished seventh overall in the Girls Junior Varsity 5k. She was also the first freshman to finish the race. Lily Hutapea '27 (29:42.2) took 55th, and Pearl Harrington '29 (30:59.4) finished 68th.

The varsity boys and girls cross country teams each earned fourth-place finishes on the day.

On the girls side, the Patriots totaled 111 points, led by Nieve Keitel ’27, who clocked a 19:05.9 on the 5k course to finish fifth overall, and Shyna Patel ’29, who placed 22nd in 21:23.3. Virginia Keefe '29 (27th, 21:45.8), Lauren Truong '26 (37th, 22:42.3), and Millie Evarts '29 (42nd, 23:05.8) rounded out the team scoring.

The boys team tallied 93 points and featured two top-10 finishes. Tyler Benson ’27 led the way with a 16:48.2 to take fifth overall, followed by Walter Mulroy ’26, who finished 10th in 17:09.5. Evan Badami '26 (24th, 17:49), Grady Moore '28 (31st, 17:59.8), and Ethan Na '26 (33rd, 18:03.8) completed the scoring.
