Track & Field: GA Girls Finish Third at PAISAA Championships With Six Top-Three Finishes

MALVERN -- Germantown Academy’s girls track and field team placed third at the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Championships, totaling 68.5 points and recording six top-three finishes.

William Penn Charter claimed the team title with 149 points, while Episcopal Academy (68.66) finished second. Germantown Friends (50), Westtown School (50), and Hill School (44.33) rounded out the top six scoring teams.

Highlights:

  • Piper Loney '27 finished second in the 100m with a time of 12.49. The junior also placed fourth in the 200m in 26.14.
  • Ruby McKee '29 placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 34' 10".
  • Adrianna Wenneker-Niggemeier '28, Annabelle Steckel '28, Loney, and Jocelyn Germain '28 finished third in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:12.27.
  • Nieve Keitel '27 finished third in the 1600 with a time of 4:59.82. Keitel also placed fifth in the 800 in 2:16.43.
  • Jocelyn Germain '28 placed third in the long jump with a mark of 17' 7.75". She also finished seventh in the 400m in a season-best 1:02.57.
  • Layla Gentile '26 placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 108' 09". Gentile also finished third in the shot put with a throw of 37' 3".
  • Harper Sylva '28 recorded a throw of 97' 11" in the javelin to finish fourth overall.
  • Eli Wang '26 cleared 7' in the pole vault to secure a sixth-place finish.
