Swimming & Diving: Germantown Academy Divers Earn Four NISCA All-American Honors, Tie School Record

FORT WASHINGTON — Four divers from the Inter-Ac League Champion Germantown Academy boys and girls swimming and diving teams earned National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) All-American recognition, the association announced Friday (June 27). The four selections tie a school record and tie Edina High School (MN) for the most All-Americans from a single school this season. Additionally, the Patriots’ three female diving All-Americans tie for the most female diving All-Americans nationally, matching The Woodlands High School (TX).

A cornerstone of GA Diving over the past four years, Libby Brewer ’25 capped her exceptional career with a third straight NISCA All-American honor. Bound for Tulane University, Brewer leaves her mark on the program as the school and pool record holder in the 1-meter dive (306 points) and as the only female diver in GA history to claim the 1-meter Easterns title twice.

Laurel DePolo ’25 earned her third consecutive NISCA All-American honor this season, closing out a standout career that will continue at Penn State next year. DePolo opened her senior campaign with a commanding first-place finish against Agnes Irwin and went on to secure podium finishes at both the Inter-Ac and Easterns championships.

One of just 10 female freshmen nationwide to earn the honor, Ana Navarro ’28 made an immediate impact in her first varsity season, proving that the future of GA Girls Diving is bright. Navarro briefly held the GA pool record in the 1-meter dive before it was narrowly surpassed by Brewer days later. She went on to capture the Inter-Ac League title and deliver a silver-medal performance at Easterns.

After making waves as an eighth grader on the varsity stage last season, Nash Salomon ’28 soared to new heights in his freshman campaign, earning his first NISCA All-American honor. Salomon delivered a flawless season, going undefeated in dual meets and capturing both the Inter-Academic League and Easterns diving championships.
