FORT WASHINGTON -- On Wednesday, Nov. 13, USA Swimming announced the full list of 2023-2024 Scholastic All-America recipients. The lists consist of 1,790 athletes in grades 9-12 who maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average (GPA) and have swam an individual pool time equal to or faster than the 2023 Winter Junior National qualifying time in any individual event during the qualifying period of September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024.
Germantown Academy is well represented on the list, with Karly Boles '25, Sarah Freeman '25, Amelia Gipson '27, and Emily Hamill '25 earning recognition. Also honored were Andy Zhou '24, now at the University of Pennsylvania, and Landon D'Ariano '24, now at the University of Texas. The six student-athletes are a part of 753 girls and 1,037 boys recognized.
The Patriots kick off their season on Dec. 12 when they host The Haverford School and Agnes Irwin School for a 4pm meet.
