Inter-Academic Athletic League Fall Season Guidelines

The following guidelines are in alignment with Inter-Academic Athletic League (Inter-Ac) rules for spectators. These policies will be in place for the duration of the Germantown Academy 2020 fall season.

Indoor Events at Germantown Academy

*If visitors are permitted on campus by a host school.

  • GA will permit no more than three passes per rostered senior. Spectators for visiting teams are not permitted to attend indoor events.

  • The Inter-Ac League has granted permission for Penn Charter parents on GA/PC Day for girls and boys water polo. GA will honor no more than three passes per rostered Penn Charter senior.

Outdoor Events at Germantown Academy

When we are the home team:

  • GA will distribute no more than three passes per rostered senior. We will not be allowing visiting spectators at our home games.

  • The Inter-Ac League has granted permission for Penn Charter parents on GA/PC Day for outdoor sports. GA will honor no more than three passes per rostered Penn Charter senior.

When we are the away team:

*If visitors are permitted on campus by a host school.

  • Visiting teams are permitted no more than 2 passes per rostered senior. Exceptions may be agreed upon by the 2 competing schools. This rule only applies on Saturday; there are no visiting spectators allowed at weekday contests. As of right now, it looks like only Haverford School and Episcopal Academy will allow visiting spectators regularly.

Note: On Saturday, November 21, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy will be playing Penn Charter in football at Carey Stadium. Penn Charter is the home team and therefore will be able to decide if Springside Chestnut Hill Academy can have spectators. There are no GA spectators allowed at this contest.

Here are a few health and safety notes for anyone who may be attending a GA contest this fall:

  • Spectators will be required to “check in” before the event begins. This will include, at minimum, a temperature check and a daily health check.

  • Spectators are required to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth at all times while on campus for an event.

  • Spectators are asked to stay physically distant at all times.
