PHILADELPHIA -- Germantown Academy's girls cross country team competed in the Inter-Academic Athletic League Championships at Belmont Plateau on Oct 15, taking fifth with 100 points.
The Patriots will race next on Oct. 26, when they return to Belmont Plateau for the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Championships.
Girls Varsity
Nieve Keitel '27 crossed the finish line in 19:45.8 to grab sixth place while finishing first for the Patriots. Zoey Clark '26 took 16th in 21:56.8, while Lauren Truong '26 (23:10.9), Sanya Bandekar '25 (23:23.9), and Annabelle Steckel '28 (23:29.30) finished 25-26-27, respectively. Alyssa Burke '27 (30th - 23:47.5) and Allison Eichsteadt '25 (33rd - 23:58.0) also competed for the Patriots.
Girls JV
Azzure O'Connor '29 ran 23:55.10 to finish second overall and first for GA in the JV Race. She was the only 8th grader in the race. Audrey Mennerich '28 took seventh in 24:21.80 for GA, while Taryn DiFranco '25 (25:56.7), Elli Wang '26 (29:18.9), and Jocelyn Rizzi '27 (30:12.70) finished 18th, 35th, and 39th, respectively. Lily Hutapea '27 finished in 33:12.80.
