Germantown Academy Names Lindsey Neff Varsity Girls Cross Country Head Coach

Germantown Academy Director of Athletics Tim Ginter has named Lindsey Neff as the new head coach of Varsity Girls Cross Country.

“We are excited to elevate Lindsey Neff into the role of head coach for our varsity girls cross country program,” Ginter said. “Her experience as both a student-athlete and coach, combined with her commitment to building strong relationships with our students, makes her an excellent fit."

Neff is currently a History Teaching Fellow in the Alter Middle School, and has been an active member of the school’s athletic community. She served as an assistant coach for the cross country team in 2025 and has also contributed as an assistant with the 2026 winter and spring track and field programs.

"I am excited to step into the role of head coach of the girls cross country team this coming fall," Neff said. "In working with this group through previous seasons, I have been impressed by their character, their dedication to the sport, and their willingness to support and push one another. Cross country is a sport that demands grit, resilience, and teamwork, and these student-athletes bring all of that together. I can't wait to get to work this summer, and see what we can accomplish!"

A graduate of Kenyon College, Neff competed on the cross country and track and field teams while earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and Art History in May 2024. She brings additional coaching experience from Pomfret School in Connecticut, where she worked with cross country and track athletes, fostering team-building, discipline, and athletic development.

The Patriots return nine runners from last season, including two all-league performers.
