Crew: GA Advances Four Boats at Stotesbury Cup Regatta

PHILADELPHIA -- Germantown Academy's crew team competed in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta over the weekend. Stotesbury is the nation’s largest high school rowing competition, and the 2026 event marked the 99th edition of the regatta. GA had eight boats compete in Friday’s time trials, with four advancing to either a semifinal or final.

The Boys Junior Double of Luke Samuel '28 and Eli Xie '27 advanced to the semifinals after the morning trials. The duo finished third in its semifinal race in 5:41.650, narrowly missing qualification for the finals.

The Boys Lightweight Double of Vihaan Patel '28 and Billy Dawe '28 finished 10th in the time trial in 5:58.930 to advance to the semifinals, where they placed 10th in 6:01.050.

The Girls Junior Four of Anushka Sen '28, Nina Parikh '29, Maya Krzyspiak '28, Jadyn Shu '29, and coxswain Alexandra Brown '27 finished in 6:56.090. In the Boys Junior Quad, Jake Imburgia '29, Gavin Sposato '28, Henry Gulati '28, and Anshul Shah '28 recorded a time of 5:53.100.

Emma Podulka '27, Saanvi Bayireddi '28, Angie Li '27, and Maya Salerno '27 finished the Girls Junior Quad in 6:09.870.

Benjamin Moorhouse '26 and JJ Johnson '26 rowed 5:33.800 in the Boys Senior Double time trial to advance to the semifinals, where they finished in 6:08.940.

The Girls Senior Quad of Nina Sager '26, Devon Geist '26, Mirabelle Hayes '26, and Sophia Song '27 finished the time trial in 5:38.000 to advance to the semifinals. The quartet then rowed 6:09.800 in the semifinals to qualify for the finals, where it placed sixth in 7:16.180.

Ben Moyer '26 recorded a time of 6:36.060 in the Boys Senior Single.
