THE RFL: ROBERTS FAMILY LIBRARY
MIDDLE SCHOOL/UPPER SCHOOL LIBRARY SERVICES

As teaching librarians at the RFL, we provide guidance and access to a wide array of subscription resources selected to support the curricular, professional, and recreational interests of the GA community. A variety of flexible spaces in the RFL facilitate individual and collaborative learning opportunities. Study rooms, whiteboards, collaborative monitors, laptops, desktops, and a silent study space are available for the community in order to support a variety of learning styles and processes for classes and individuals. Our print collection is carefully curated to support the GA curricula and also cultivate a love of reading amongst our students and faculty. The 6th-12th grade research and source literacy curriculum is designed in conjunction with our faculty colleagues at GA. Our goal as teaching librarians is to challenge students to think critically about the use of information and to develop the cognitive abilities necessary for formulating strong research questions and integrating new information into existing bodies of knowledge.
