Theatre

Middle School

All Middle School students take a Drama class in 6th Grade, which provides an overview of the history of theatre and an introduction to theatrical practices. Eighth graders have the opportunity take a theatrical production elective, and perform in a spring showcase.

The Middle School Drama department also presents a Fall Play and Winter Musical.

Upper School

GA's Upper School Theatre Program includes annual courses in acting, improvisation, musical theatre, theatre production, and technical theatre. The vast majority of students taking theatre classes perform or participate in one or more of our Belfry Club productions, which include musicals, comedies, and dramas offered as extracurricular activities.

The Belfry Club holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operated high-school drama club in the country.
