Intro to Mandarin

A perfect complement to our adult Tai Chi class, Intro to Mandarin provides a small class environment with other students new to the Mandarin language. A professional teacher introduces Mandarin words and phrases while highlighting China's rich culture and history.

Mandarin Chinese for Business

In Mandarin Chinese for Business, adults will learn common Mandarin phrases and scenarios of business and negotiation. Students will also learn about Chinese business culture and etiquette, and the needs of businessmen and women who work in Mandarin speaking companies. The first three weeks will be spent learning basic Chinese symbols and speech, and the final 5 weeks are centered around learning Chinese culture and Mandarin for business conversations.

Wednesdays: 6:30pm – 8pm
Ages 18 and up
Spring: April 1 – June 3 (10 classes)

Tai Chi

Tai Chi, otherwise known as Tai Ji Quan, is one of the most famous and popular branches of Chinese Martial Arts. Anyone can practice Tai Chi as a way to stay fit and mentally focused.

Students will learn Zhang Style Tai Chi Gong, which is a combination of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Like Tai Chi, one of the principles of practicing Tai Chi Gong is to "relax and concentrate." Through Tai Chi Gong practice, students will learn how to circulate Qi, how to release energy to different parts of the body, and understand the hidden martial arts applications of this discipline.
