Olivia Reiner '14 Named Flyers Beat Reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer

Germantown Academy alumna Olivia Reiner '14 was recently hired as the Philadelphia Flyers Beat Reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

"I'm so excited to be a part of The Inquirer sports desk and to work with the talented journalists on staff," said Reiner. "I can't wait to tell great stories with the help of Mike Huang and all of the experienced editors. My parents have been subscribers since I was a child and it's still mind-blowing to imagine my byline in The Inquirer."

Reiner returns to Philadelphia after after two and a half years with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as a multimedia reporter. She primarily covered the Green Packers, but also spent time covering the Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks. During her time in Wisconsin, she served as both a field reporter and on-air personality, as well as producer and writer for multiple sports segments.

Over the summer, Reiner covered the Tokyo Olympics for USA Today. She covered the 2018 Winter Games for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

After graduating from GA, Reiner went on to Northwestern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism as well as a Master of Science in journalism.

In addition to Reiner's work, GA sports fans can also find bylines and sports content created by Tyler Kepner '93 (New York Times National Baseball Writer), Varun Kumar '13 (OwlsScoop.Com/City Of Basketball Love), and  Zach Berman '04 (The Athletic - Philadelphia Eagles), and Jessica Towne Taylor '13 (Bleeding Green Nation).
