BRYN ATHYN -- After suffering their first dual meet loss of the season to Malvern Prep on Feb. 2, Germantown Academy bounced back against Academy of the New Church on Feb. 7. A total of 11 GA athletes won their individual matchups and that parlayed into a 62-15 win.
Following a forfeit at the 106 weight class, Jamie McGrath '21 started the scoring for the Patriots. The team would go on to win the next three matches by fall before losing one by decision. However, the only thing that could stop the Patriots after that was a forfeit at the 285 weight class. Of the 11 individual wins, nine came by way of a fall.
The Patriots will hit the mats again on Feb. 8 when they travel to Springside Chestnut Hill Academy for a 6:00 p.m. meet.
