Winter Track: Patriots Shine at Kutztown Golden Bear Invitational

KUTZTOWN -- Germantown Academy's Winter Track and Field team was back at it on Friday, Jan. 10 at the Golden Bears High School Invitational held at Kutztown University. There was no team scoring in the event.

Some highlights from the action:

  • Evan Badami '26 won the Boys 800m in 1:57.82, almost five seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Badami's mark ranks him No. 4 in PA.
  • GA won the Boys and Girls 3000m, thanks to Tyler Benson '27 (9:24.82) and Nieve Keitel '27 (10:50.86). Benson's time is the 50th fastest in the state.
  • Jet Dickerson '26 won the Boys 55m Hurdle (7.86) and finished fifth in the Boys Long Jump (21' 3"). Both marks were PRs, and his time in the 55m Hurdles ranks him third in the state.
  • Ellis Johnson '25 took third and ran a PR in the 55m Hurdle at 8.03, and ranks him ninth in the state.
  • GA won the Boys and Girls Pole Vault, with Adrian Diem '25 clearing a personal best 15' and Zoe Hellman '25 clearing 10'. Diem's mark is the top in PA, and the 44th best in the country, while Hellman's is 20th in the state. Robby Bright '25 took second in the Boys Pole Vault by clearing a season-best 13' 6" which ranks fifth in the state.
  • Ava Dalton '26 placed first in the Girls High Jump, clearing an Indoor personal best of 4' 10", which ranks her 36th in the state.
  • Jocelyn Germain '28 won the Girls Long Jump with a leap of 16'1.5", ranking her PA No. 36.
  • Layla Gentile '26 placed second in the Girls Shot Put with a 39' 6" throw.

On Wednesday, Jan. 15 the team will see action at the Ursinus College High School Invitational at Ursinus College.
