POTTSTOWN -- Germantown Academy started the 2024-25 indoor season on Wednesday at the Hill School Quad Meet held at Mercer Field House at Hill School. The Patriots were successful on both sides, defeating Hill, Pottsgrove, and Perkiomen School. They return to action on Dec. 11 when they host the Shot Put Invitational.

Girls Track & Field Results

• 55m Dash: Shiyann Werts '28 placed fourth (8.10), while Alex Colucci '28 and Emma Shapiro '26 tied for sixth (8.40).
• 1600m: Annabelle Steckel '28 took first place with a time of 5:41.38. Lauren Truong '26 (6:22.36) and Taryn DiFranco '25 (6:50.29) placed fifth and seventh, respectively.
• 400m: Jocelyn Germain '28 placed second in 1:04.92, and Jazziah Manning '25 finished third (1:18.74).
• 800m: Zoey Clark '26 secured first place with a time of 2:32. Annabelle Steckel '28 finished second (2:40.66), and Audrey Mennerich '28 placed fourth (2:50.62).
• 200m: Germain took third with a time of 28.26, while Alex Colucci (30.87) and Shapiro (31.08) placed fifth and sixth.
• 4x400m Relay: Steckel, Alex Colucci, Clark, and Mennerich placed first with a time of 4:43.
• High Jump: Ava Dalton '26 took second place with a jump of 4' 6", and Naomi Wong '28 (4') and Alisa Colucci '27 (3' 10")placed fourth and fifth.
• Shot Put: Layla Gentile '26 claimed first place with a 34' 9.75" throw. Brynn Sweeney '26, Farihah Kemp '25, Leah Spivey '27, and Natalie Rivers '27 finished fourth through seventh.
• Long Jump: Alex Colucci and Alisa Colucci placed third and fourth with 13' 2.5" and 13' 1" jumps.
• Pole Vault: Lorelai Fortman '25 took first place clearing 9' 6", followed by Zoe Hellman '25 in second clearing 9'. Wong and Barrie Davis '25 tied for fourth clearing 6'.

Boys Track & Field Results

• 55m Hurdles: Jet Dickerson '26 finished first with a time of 8.08 seconds.
• 55m Dash: Brady McDonough '26 took second place with a personal best of 6.75 seconds 
• 1600m: Tyler Benson '27 claimed first place with a time of 4:46, followed by Ethan Na '26 in second (4:52), Walter Mulroy '26 in fourth (4:57), and Andreas Szautner '26 in fifth (5:03).
• 400m: Ellis Johnson '25 finished third with a time of 56.92 seconds.
• 800m: Evan Badami '26 secured first place with a time of 2:01. Jake Barenbaum '28 finished third, with Alex Foster '27, Liam Connelly '27, and Jamie Roche '28 placing fourth through sixth.
• 4x400m Relay: The team of Dickerson, Johnson, Benson, and Badami took first place with a time of 3:41, just one second off the school record.
• High Jump: Arjun Lee '27 placed second with a 5' 6" jump, and Eli Xie '27 finished third clearing 5' 4".
• Long Jump: Sam Anyan '27 claimed first place by jumping 19' 6.25", and Dickerson took second with 19' 3.5".
• Shot Put: Brandon Truszkowski '26 placed second with a personal best of 42' 2.5". Robbie Boudreau '26 (40'1.75") and Zach Kniese '25 (39' 0.5") finished fourth and fifth.
• Pole Vault: Adrian Diem '25 secured first place by clearing 13'6", while Robby Bright '25 took second (13'). Logan Burgey '28 and Sully Hensley '28 debuted with personal bests, clearing 7'.
