Winter Track & Field: GA Posts National Rankings, 10 PRs at Penn Relays Winter Showcase

PHILADELPHIA — Evan Badami '26 and Tyler Benson '27 earned national recognition with new U.S. rankings, while five student-athletes posted Top 50 marks in Pennsylvania and 10 recorded personal bests Saturday at the Penn Relays Winter Showcase at the Ott Center for Track and Field.

Badami won the boys 800 meters in 1:54.85, a time that ranks No. 37 in the U.S. and No. 11 in Pennsylvania. Benson posted a time of 4:07.38 in the boys 1,500 meters to rank No. 59 nationally, then added a personal-best 4:24.38 in the boys 1 mile, which ranks No. 16 in Pennsylvania.

Other highlights included:

  • Piper Loney '27 ran a season-best 26.63 in the girls 200 meters. Her 8.06 in the 60 meters ranks No. 48 in Pennsylvania, while her 7.47 in the 55 meters ranks No. 19.

  • Jocelyn Germain '28 recorded a personal-best 8.31 in the girls 60 meters. She also ran 7.70 in the 55 meters and 1:04.84 in the 400 meters.

  • Shiyann Werts '28 set a personal best in the girls 60 meters with a time of 8.57.

  • Ellie Falco '29 posted a personal-best 11.74 in the girls 60-meter hurdles.

  • Jason Wilson '28 ran a personal-best 53.66 in the boys 400 meters.

  • Callan O’Keefe '27 and Jamie Roche '28 recorded personal bests in the boys 800 meters, finishing in 2:14.41 and 2:14.91, respectively.

  • Walter Mulroy '26 ran a personal-best 4:42.86 in the boys 1 mile.

  • John Henry Brusca '29 posted a personal-best 4:59.61 in the boys 1 mile.

  • Jet Dickerson '26 ran 50.80 in the boys 400 meters to rank No. 47 in Pennsylvania and added a 22.13 in the boys 200 meters.

  • Brady McDonough '26 ran 6.77 in the boys 55 meters to rank No. 50 in Pennsylvania. He also ran 7.28 in the 60 meters and recorded a season-best 22.93 in the 200 meters.
