ROSEMONT -- Germantown Academy began its Inter-Ac League title defense on Sept. 20 when it took to Agnes Irwin School for the league-opener for both teams. While the Owls hung tough in the second set, they were no match for the Patriots, who took the match, 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-16).

The Patriots served up 11 aces on the evening, led by Jade West '26 and Hadley Evans '25 with three. Five other players recorded one ace as the team put down a .273 hitting line (30-9-77) as well. Caroline Smith paced the offense with a match-high 11 kills, with Pilar Presson '26 adding eight and Emily Pokorny '26 with six.

GA is back at it on Monday, Sept. 23 as the team hosts Nazareth Academy in a non-conference matchup at 5:15pm.
