BRYN MAWR -- Germantown Academy's volleyball team had a dominant campaign in 2022, racking up 24 wins, ending the season as Inter-Ac League Champions, and finishing as runners up in the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Tournament. If the opening game of the 2023 season was an indicator of how the year will play out for GA, it appears that another fantastic run is ahead as the Patriots took down Shipley School on Sept. 8, 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-9).
Hadley Evans '25 led the GA attack with seven kills, while Caroline Smith '25 and Kaitlin Pokorny '24 each had six. Angie Wang '24 picked up eight serving aces and 14 assists to lead the team, and Ally Della Franzia '24 had six aces and four digs.
The Patriots are 1-0 to start the season. They return to action on Sept. 12 when they host Perkiomen School at 4pm in the Griswold Family Gym.
