NEWTOWN SQUARE -- Both of Germantown Academy's swimming and diving teams traveled to Episcopal Academy on Jan. 17 for an Inter-Ac League meet. For the boys, it was the first competition against another school since defeating William Penn Charter on Dec. 13, while the girls were swimming in their second meet in four days. Despite the circumstances, the Patriots touched first in 22 of 24 events, broke a handful of Episcopal Academy pool records, and came away with wins.

Girls Swimming & Diving: W 110-76

• Emily Hamill '25 set EA pool records in the 200 and 100 Freestyle. The sophomore went 1:49.21 and 50.76, respectively. Hamill also swam the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay.
• Taylor Grimley '24 set the EA pool record in the 100 Butterfly, going 54.26 and touching first. She also won the 100 Backstroke in 56.87. Grimley also swam the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay.
• Eliza Meth '23 took first in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke with times of 2:10.28 and 1:06.29, respectively. 
• Sarah Freeman '25 touched first in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 23.90. 
• Laurel DePolo '25 scored 245.85 points to take first in the 1-mtr Dive.
• GA swept the 500 freestyle with Camryn Jones '26, CC Leoni '24, and Sofia Bell '26 taking the top three spots. 

Boys Swimminf & Diving: W 115-71

• Landon D'Ariano '24 set the EA pool record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:49.74. He also swam the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, and 100 Backstroke.
• JJ Freeman '23 took first in the 200 and 100 Freestyle, swimming 1:40.22 and 46.79, respectively. 
• Brandon Fleck '25 touched first in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 21.01. He also won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 51.23. 
• GA swept the 1-mtr Diving portion with Brendan Hodgens '24, Gavin Zivitz '25, and Asher Sasson '23 going 1-2-3. 
• Dylan Shapiro '25 and Stephen Calabro '23 went 1-2 in the 500 Freestyle, swimming 4:53.01 and 4:55.01.
• Andy Zhou '24 touched first in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 59.18.
