ICE HOCKEY: Patriots Triumph Over Churchmen at Home

COLMAR, PA -- Germantown Academy's ice hockey team was back in action for the first time in almost a month, hosting Episcopal Academy at Hatfield Ice on Jan. 11. Despite the long layoff of Winter Break, the Patriots showed no signs of rust, topping the Churchmen, 3-1.

Germantown Academy controlled the game and tempo for the majority of the contest, scoring a goal in each period. Walker Schwartz '23 paced the offense by scoring two goals, while Colin Rink '24 added one score. The Patriots limited Episcopal Academy's offense thanks to some staunch defense and strong play from goaltender Dominic Saputelli '23.

GA is now 6-1 overall with a 4-0 mark in league play. They will be hosting Haverford School on Jan. 18 at 4:00 p.m. at Hatfield Ice.
