Girls Swimming & Diving: Patriots Open Season with Dominant Win over Agnes Irwin
FORT WASHINGTON -- Germantown Academy's girls swimming and diving team opened their season against Inter-Ac League foe Agnes Irwin School on Dec. 10 and looked to be primed to make another run at the championship. The Patriots touched first in 11 of the 12 events, winning the meet 103-73.
Highlights
- Nieve Keitel '27 (2:03.13) won the 200 Free, while Ainsley Buerger '28 and Izzy Munski '27 took second and third, respectively.
- Karly Boles '25, Mirabelle Hayes '26, and Sofia Bell '26 swept the 200 IM.
- Sarah Freeman '25, Arden Keitel '27, and Amelia Gipson '27 went 1-2-3 in the 50 Freestyle.
- GA swept the 1mtr Dive, with Laurel DePolo '25 taking first, Maddie Evers '26 taking second, and Libby Brewer '25 finishing third.
- Grace Bell '27, Buerger, and Camryn Jones '26 went 1-2-3 in the 100 Butterfly for GA.
- Emily Hamill '25, Gipson, and Arden Keitel swept the 100 Freestyle.
- Emerson Choudry '27, Hayes, and Nieve Ketiel went 1-2-3 in the 500 Free.
- Grace Bell, Choudry, and Elsa Simonetti '26 swept the 100 Breaststroke.
- GA won all three relays.
