PHILADELPHIA -- Germantown Academy's cross country teams were in action on Monday at Belmont Plateau for the Inter-Ac League Championships.

Girls Varsity

Due to injuries during the competition, only four runners were able to finish the race for GA. Without five runners being available for scoring, the Patriots did not record a final score. 

Lana Karpf '23 (22:02.90) and Abby Durkin '24 (22:08.10) finished 10th and 11th overall, respectively. Lyla Perry '26 was close behind, finishing 13th overall with a time of  22:39.20. Maggie Morrissey '24 rounded out the the group, finishing with a time of 26:11.40.

The team will prepare for Pennsylvania Independents Schools Athletic Association Championships which take place on Oct. 29 at Belmont Plateau. 

Girls JV

The Patriots had a strong showing with three runners finishing in the top 10. Allison Eichsteadt '25 finished second overall with a time of 24:20.40. She was followed closely by Sanya Bandekar '25, who took third overall in 24:41.10. Lauren Truong '26 ran 26:14.30 to finish eighth. Taryn DiFranco '25 (28:00.10) and Hannah Manusov '23 (29:20.40) finished 12th and 18th, respectively.
