By: Joe Cicchino - Sports Information Assistant

FORT WASHINGTON -- It was a tale of two halves when the Germantown Academy girls basketball team took on Peddie School in their home opener on Dec. 5. After trailing at halftime, the Patriots tightened up their defense, ignited the offense and rolled to a 64-28 victory.

The turning point of the game came in the third quarter, when GA outscored the Falcons, 24-5. They followed up that strong defensive effort by clamping down even more, allowing only two points in the final quarter of play.

The 28 total points by Peddie is the least amount the Patriots have allowed this season. GA is outscoring its opponents 214-133 on the year.

Guard Jaye Haynes '20 led all scorers with 19 points. She converted two shots from three-point range and also added seven rebounds.

Caitlyn Priore '20 anchored the defense, registering two block. She also had three points and four rebounds in the game.
