ABINGTON -- After defeating The Shipley School 53-45 on Dec. 8, Germantown Academy was set to face off against Abington High School in the Championship of the December Classic. The Patriots emerged from that game with a 60-54 win.

Rachel Balzer '19 hit back-to-back shots from behind the arc to give GA a four-point lead with three minutes remaining in the game. She has 11 points, four rebounds and six assists.

Alexa Naessens '18 led the Patriots in scoring with 14 points. She also had seven rebounds during the game. Elle Stauffer '20 had a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Naessens and Jaye Haynes '20 were both named to the December Classic All-Tournament Team. 

The Patriots are 5-0 on the year and will host Caravel Academy in the Big Gym on Dec. 12 at 4:00 p.m.
