Former Germantown Academy, Villanova Guard Jordan Longino '21 Joins Rockets for NBA Summer League

HOUSTON – The Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA) announced their minicamp roster ahead of NBA 2K26 Summer League 2025, scheduled for July 10–20 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Among the 15 players listed — eight of whom are rookies — is Jordan Longino, a 2021 Germantown Academy graduate, recent Villanova graduate, and the all-time leading scorer in GA boys basketball history.

Longino is one of the new additions joining a roster that also includes seven players with NBA experience. After overcoming a series of leg injuries early in his college career, the 6-foot-5 guard made a major leap during his senior season at Villanova in 2024-25. He started every Big East contest, averaged 11.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game overall, and regularly drew the assignment of defending the opponent’s top offensive threat. In conference play, he elevated his performance further, posting 13.4 points and 2.5 assists per game. His standout performances included a career-high 27 points and seven assists at Marquette, 18 points in a road win at DePaul, and 12 points with two steals in an upset win over then-No. 9 UConn.

That strong finish at the collegiate level earned Longino a spot on the Rockets’ Summer League squad, where he will look to showcase his all-around game in front of NBA coaches and scouts. His journey to this moment began at Germantown Academy, where he was a two-sport standout and a force on the basketball court. During the 2019-20 season, his final full year of high school play, Longino averaged 22.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game and was named both the PIAA Class 4A Player of the Year and the Pennsylvania Sportswriters Class 4A Player of the Year.

All 30 NBA teams will participate in the NBA 2K26 Summer League. Each team will play at least five games. After each team plays four games, the top four teams will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, July 19. The semifinal winners will meet in the championship game Sunday, July 20, while the remaining 26 teams will play a fifth game on either July 18, 19 or 20. For Longino, it is the next step in a basketball journey defined by persistence, growth and consistent production at every level.
