Five Germantown Academy Student-Athletes Earn MVP Honors on GA/PC Day

On GA/PC Day, five Germantown Academy student-athletes were named MVP following their games, honoring standout performances that made the difference on the field and course. Alumni judges from both schools selected the MVPs, recognizing players who delivered in key moments and led their teams with skill and determination.

Tyler Benson '27 earned Boys Cross Country MVP honors, finishing first and continuing his streak as GA’s top runner all season. His achievement marks GA’s first Boys Cross Country MVP since Robert DiDonato ’21 in 2020.

In a thrilling 3-2 victory over Penn Charter, GA’s field hockey team saw two players earn co-MVP honors. Genevieve Gajan '27 scored twice, including a decisive penalty stroke that secured the win. Cece Durkin '27 dominated the midfield, controlling possession and setting the tempo of the game. Durkin’s outstanding play this season also earned her Second Team All-League recognition.

Connor Harrington '26 was recognized as Boys Soccer MVP after scoring the opening goal in GA’s matchup against Penn Charter. Harrington received his award from alumni judges Art Sweeney '69 and Bill Straub '69.

In her first GA/PC Day appearance, goalkeeper Liv Smith '29 was named MVP of the girls soccer match, helping GA secure a 1-0 win. Smith kept the Penn Charter attack in check throughout the game, and also earned Second Team All-Inter-Ac honors for her standout season.

Congratulations to all five MVPs for their remarkable performances and for representing Germantown Academy with excellence on GA/PC Day!
