FORT WASHINGTON--With less than two minutes to go and the score knotted at 2-2, junior Sammy Popper '19 sent a screamer into goal off a pass from Jordan Roche '21. The successful execution of Germantown Academy's final corner of the afternoon allowed the Patriots to defeat visiting Agnes Irwin School, 3-2, on Oberkircher Field in Tuesday's Inter-Ac League match. For Popper, it was her third goal of the day. Roche finished the afternoon with a pair of assists. (SEE GALLERY)

GA led 2-0 at halftime, but Agnes Irwin rallied to make it a tight game down the stretch.

With the win, GA improved to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the league.
