PHILADELPHIA -- The Germantown Academy Patriots started their 2023 spring season off with six boats racing in 1st Manny Flick on Sunday, March 19. 

The Girls JV 4x consisting of Roma Reddy '25, Saloni Bhatia '24, Lucy McFadden '24, and Gertie Lafferty '24 opened the racing for GA at 11:26 a.m. and finished fourth in their race at a time of 8:09.830. Lucy Fassler '24 was the coxswain for the Girls Varsity 4+ consisting of Phoebe Caffey '23, Elizabeth DiSandro '23, Alexandra Ruane '23, and Elizabeth Burke '23 went 7:44.550 to take fourth. The Girls Varsity 4x of Livi Shafer '23, Sarah Beth Sandifer '23, Ryleigh Dougherty '23, and Aisosa Idahosa '23 also took fourth, going 6:22.280. 

The Boys Varsity 2x of Haiden Bonczek '23 and Max Goldman '23 finished second in their race, going 5:51.730. The Patriots had two boats going in the Boys JV 4x race, with both of them taking fourth in their division. Umang Mittal '25, Alan Liu '24, AJ DiFranco '24, and Max Rinnander '25 went 6:34.96, while Andrew Wells '25, Maloy Lafferty '25, Utsav Mittal '25, and Jack Wescott '25 went 5:52.770. 

The Patriots now look ahead to their next regatta on March 26.
