NASHPORT, Ohio -- All season long, the rowers from Germantown Academy have been working hard to put up strong finishes and top times. On May 24 and 25, that hard work was put to the test at Scholastic Rowing Association of America Nationals. 

The Patriots had four student athletes travel to Ohio for the races which featured almost 500 entries. Derek Walkush '19 and Dylan Robertson '19 took part in the Boys Varsity 2x category, while Andreas Moeller '21 and Alex Walkush '21 raced in the Boys JV 2x category.

The latter grouping turned in a time of 5:40.575, finishing sixth in the first heat. However, only the top three boats in each heat advanced. 

Walkush and Robertson became one of 12 boats that qualified for semifinals when they finished third in their heat with a time of 5:29.439. The duo finished fourth in the semifinal heat, missing the cut for finals  by 1.25 seconds.
