HAVERFORD -- The Patriots dropped their Oct. 31 contest against The Haverford School, 16-9. The loss gave GA a split of the season series with the Fords.
Playing on Haverford’s Senior Day, GA came out and took a 3-1 lead early in the first quarter. However, the Fords would score two goals to tie things up before the end of the quarter.
The second frame saw the Fords go on a run, outscoring the Patriots, 7-1, to put the visitors in a 10-4 hole at halftime.
"We lost our composure in the second quarter, and they were able to capitalize on every mistake we made," head coach Mike Koziol said in an email. "It was a close game other than the quarter where we lost our cool."
The Patriots would find the back of the net in the second half, but unfortunately were not able to bridge the gap.
The next action the team will see will be in Easterns tournament play against Gonzaga Prep on Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.
