Boys Track & Field: Germantown Academy Claims 4th at PAISAA Championships Behind Record-Breaking Efforts

MALVERN -- Fueled by record-breaking efforts, Germantown Academy's boys track and field team surged to a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Championships with 62 points—trailing only Malvern Prep, Episcopal Academy, and Haverford School.

Leading the way was Evan Badami '26, who made history in the 400 meters. The junior blazed to victory in a blistering 47.86 seconds, setting a new PAISAA record and establishing a new GA school record in the process. 

In the field, Robby Bright '25 was crowned Pole Vault Champion by clearing 14' 6", while teammate Adrian Diem '25 (14') soared to a silver medal with a strong second-place finish in the same event.

On the relay front, the 4x800 squad of Ethan Na '26, Tyler Benson '27, Walter Mulroy '26, and Badami combined for a season-best 8:11.58—good for second place and the second-fastest mark in program history. The 4x400 relay of Jet Dickerson '26, Ellis Johnson '25, Benson, and Badami capped off the day with a thrilling fourth-place finish in 3:25.82, breaking the school record.

Individually, Dickerson proved his versatility by placing fourth in both the 300-meter hurdles and the javelin. Stas Kraynak '26 added key points by placing fourth in the high jump after clearing six feet.

Other scoring performances included:

  • Ellis Johnson '25: 7th in the 300-meter hurdles

  • Tyler Benson '27: 7th in the 800 meters

  • The 4x100 relay team of Quinn Braca '27, Jaiden Addo-Boateng '27, Jason Wilson '28, and Josh Cain '26, who finished 7th
